2161 ZWEI THANGKA MIT MANIFESTATIONEN DES GURU RINPOCHE. Tibet/Nepal. Farben auf Gewebe. Vermutlich stammen die beiden Thangka aus einer Serie von Acht, welche die Manifestationen (Guru mtshan brgyad) des Padmasambhava zeigen. Ein Thangka zeigt ihn zornvoll als blauhäutigen Senge Dradok in einer Flammenaureole, das zweite zeigt ihn mit dem Lotoshut, dem Geschenk des Königs von Zahor. Unten sind jeweils zwei bzw. drei Arhat dargestellt. Jeweils ca. 51 x 34cm. Auf der Rückseite jeweils ein Stoffschild mit Aufschrift. Montierung mit chinesischen Seiden, auf der Rückseite indische Druckstoffe. Zustand A/B. Provenienz: -Norddeutsche Privatsammlung. -1971 erworben bei Schoettle Ostasiatika, Stuttgart. Probably these two thangka where part of a series of eight with the manifestations (Guru mtshan brgyad) of Padmasambhava. One shows him as blue skinned Senge Dradok in a flame mandorla, the second shows him with the lotus hat, a present of the king of Zahor. Beneath two resp. three Arhats. Each ca. 51 x 34cm. On the back each with a fabric label with inscription. Monted with Chinese silks, lined with Indian prints. Condition A/B.
