The face with the eyes nearly closed radiates great serenity. The facial features are finely stylized, the hair is designed as small bulges. Height 34cm. On a wooden base. Condition B. Sitzend in paryankâsana auf einem hohen, getreppten Sockel. Beide Hände vor den Leib gelegt und mit fast geschlossenen Augen. Dieser beleibte Mönch wird in Thailand als Bringer von Wohlstand und Reichtum verehrt und entspricht dem Budai in China und dem Hotei in Japan. Höhe 30cm. Zustand A/B. PHRA SANGKACHAI. Thailand. 19th/20th c. Bronze with dark patina. Sitting in paryankâsana on a high base. Both hands on his belly and with eyes almost closed.
