How do I register my personal client account on My VAN HAM?

An online guide is available for all questions regarding VAN HAM Art Store.

Register on My VAN HAM

Register using the gray „REGISTER“ button to create your personal client account on My VAN HAM.

Enter your personal information in the registration form. We need a copy of your valid identity card (front and back) with your current physical address stated on it. If your billing address differs from your physical address or if you only have a valid passport without a valid address, we would also have to ask you to provide proof of your billing address (e.g. in the form of an electricity or telephone bill). If you wish to buy on behalf of a company, please also provide us with a current and valid proof of organisation (e.g. your extract from the commercial register). Read and accept our GTC and privacy policy and submit the form using the button „Register now“.

You can find more detailed information on the required documents and the way to forward them to us under „What we need from you“.

After your registration you will receive a confirmation email. Follow the link provided in the email to activate your client account. Please also check your spam folder. If you have not received an email your client account cannot be activated neither. In this case please contact us via: online@van-ham.com

After you successfully activated the confirmation link you can log in to My VAN HAM with your access data.

In which languages can I view My VAN HAM?

You can choose between German and English. Move your mouse to German flag on the right side of the navigation bar and select German and English.

I have forgotten my password, how can I get a new one?

If you have forgotten your password you will receive a new one by clicking on the button Forgot your password?“ while the process of logging in to My VAN HAM. Please consider upper and lower case letters.

How do I buy now in the VAN HAM Art Store?

Log in to My VAN HAM with your access data. Go to „Art Store“ on the navigation bar and select the online catalogue from which you would like to purchase something. Choose your desired item and buy it now via the button with the purchase price. The purchase price includes all costs excluding shipping or forwarding costs. Shipping costs are indicated below the Buy-It-Now-Price. The shipping costs depend on the shipping company you choose and cannot be specified by us in advance.

Before your purchase is finally completed, a window with the overall costs will open. Optionally tick the shipping insurance and read and confirm our Terms and Conditions, privacy policy and cancellation policy. If everything corresponds to your wishes, you can buy the article obligatorily over the button „Buy now“.

What is a price proposal?

Selected items have the option of a price proposal. Enter the amount you are willing to pay for this item. If the price is too low, you will be informed about it by the error message „The suggested price must be at least ... €“. You submit the price via the button „OK“. Before your price proposal is finally completed, a window with the overall costs will open. Optionally tick the shipping insurance and read and confirm our Terms and Conditions, privacy policy and cancellation policy. If everything corresponds to your wishes, you can submit your price proposal obligatorily via the button „Submit a price proposal“. VAN HAM will check your price proposal manually and contact you personally whether your price proposal is accepted or rejected.

How do I know if my price proposal has been accepted?

After submitting your price proposal you will receive a confirmation email with all the necessary information of your price proposal, which is binding for you. VAN HAM will check your price proposal manually and will contact you personally in a timely manner whether your price proposal is accepted or rejected.

How can I save an item (my favorite) to find it faster later?

In the item you find the button „Add to favorites“, through which you can save this item in your favorites list of your customer account.

You can find your favorites list in your customer account. Go to „My Favorites“ by selecting „MY VAN HAM“ on the navigation bar (appears in a pop-up window). There you will find all your favorite articles. Via „Actions“ you can buy the articles immediately.

Can I be informed about further artworks of an artist?

Yes, via the newsletter is the possibility that you can be placed in our search index. Enter the name of the artist in the mask of the newsletter and send the newsletter request.

 

When will I receive my invoice?

You will receive an invoice by email within 48 hours after the auction and later on by post, in which all instructions for payment and shipping are listed. Please note that there may be delays due to weekends and public holidays.

How can I pay?

The amount shall be made via Electronic Cash, by wire transfer or by bank certified cheques. Cheques shall only be accepted on account of performance. All taxes, costs and fees (including bank fees charged to VAN HAM) shall be borne by the customer.

Cash payments of 10,000 euros or more per calendar year will be registered according to legal requirements. Payments can only be made by the person named on the invoice. Verified and issued invoices cannot be altered.

In the event of a delay in payment, delay interest shall be charged at a rate of 1 % per month begun.

Can I pay with credit card?

No. We do not accept credit cards.

What are the shipping costs?

The shipping costs within Germany, the EU and worldwide can be found in the detailed view of the lot number in the online catalogue of the respective auction. They are listed at the very end.

What does the „No Shipping“ indication below the purchase price mean?

Items that do not list shipping costs are excluded from shipping and must be picked up either in person or by a shipping company. If you do not know a preferred shipping company, VAN HAM will be happy to present you with a selection of shipping companies.

Can I collect my purchases directly from you in Cologne?

It is possible to collect your auctioned item personally. Please reserve a pickup date online in advance.

If you reserve a pickup date, please take into account that items from our VAN HAM Art Store are located in our external warehouse in Wesseling and the pickup can take up to 3 days.
