Guide: How do I buy in the VAN HAM Shop?

Step 1: Browse catalogues

You can browse the catalogues of the VAN HAM Shop on our Homepage, via Shop and via Online Catalogues.

Step 2: Register

If you already have a client account on My VAN HAM, you do not need to register again. Go to MY VAN HAM on the navigation bar and select Login (appears in a pop-up window) and enter your access data as usual.

Register using the gray REGISTER button to create your personal client account on My VAN HAM.

Enter your personal information in the registration form. We need a copy of your valid identity card (front and back) with your current physical address stated on it. If your billing address differs from your physical address or if you only have a valid passport without a valid address, we would also have to ask you to provide proof of your billing address (e.g. in the form of an electricity or telephone bill). If you wish to buy on behalf of a company, please also provide us with a current and valid proof of organisation (e.g. your extract from the commercial register). Read and confirm our GTC and privacy policy and submit the form using the button Register now.

After your registration you will receive a confirmation email. Follow the link provided in the email to activate your client account. Please also check your spam folder. If you have not received an email your client account cannot be activated neither. In this case please contact us via: online@van-ham.com

After you successfully activated the confirmation link you can log in to My VAN HAM with your access data.

Step 3: Buy now

Buy now
Log in to My VAN HAM with your access data. Go to „Shop“ on the navigation bar and select the online catalogue from which you would like to purchase something. Select your desired item and order it via the button „To the order“.

A new window will open with the overall costs and the option to choose between collection and shipping inclusive or exclusive shipping insurance. The Buy-Now price is the gross price excluding shipping and shipping insurance costs. Should shipping be possible and selected by you, the total amount lists the Buy-Now price including shipping costs. The same applies to the additional shipping insurance to be selected.
If shipping is only possible by arrangement, these costs will not be included in the total amount. Please contact us for any information: online@van-ham.com
Read and confirm our Terms and Conditions, privacy policy and cancellation policy. If everything corresponds to your wishes, you can buy the article obligatorily over the button „Order with obligation to pay“.

Price proposal
Selected items are provided with the option of a price proposal. Enter the amount you are willing to pay for this item. Price proposals that are more than 15% below the original price cannot be accepted. You submit the price via the button „OK“. Before your price proposal is finally completed, a window with the overall costs will open. Choose between collection and shipping inclusive or exclusive shipping insurance and read and confirm our Terms and Conditions, privacy policy and cancellation policy. If everything corresponds to your wishes, you can submit your price proposal obligatorily via the button „Submit a price proposal“. We will check your price proposal manually and contact you personally whether your price proposal is accepted or rejected.

Step 4: Payment

You will receive an invoice by email within 48 hours after your order, in which all instructions for payment and shipping are listed. To simplify the payment, you will receive another email from our financial service provider CONCARDIS with the option of instant bank transfer per PayLink via Klarna or for customers from third countries a PayLink for payment by credit card. Please note that there may be delays due to weekends and public holidays.

The amount shall be made via Electronic Cash, by wire transfer or by bank certified cheques. Cheques shall only be accepted on account of performance. All taxes, costs and fees (including bank fees charged to VAN HAM) shall be borne by the customer.

Cash payments of 10,000 euros or more per calendar year will be registered according to legal requirements. Payments can only be made by the person named on the invoice. Verified and issued invoices cannot be altered.

In the event of a delay in payment, delay interest shall be charged at a rate of 1 % per month begun.

Step 5: Collection / shipping

It is possible to collect your purchase personally or to have it sent to you by us. For shipping please take our export conditions into account.

If you reserve a pickup date, please take into account that items from our VAN HAM Shop are located in our external warehouse in Wesseling and the pickup can take up to 3 days.

What we need from you

According to § 8 paragraph 2 of the Money Laundering Act, we have been obliged to implement extended security measures since 01.01.2020.

Accordingly, we must ask all of our buyers to send us a copy of their valid identity card (front and back) with the current physical address stated on it. If you wish to buy on behalf of a company, please also provide us with a current and valid proof of organisation (e.g. your extract from the commercial register).
