Der alerte Affe versucht auf die große Kastanie zu steigen und zieht dabei mit der Rechten einen Teil der Haut auf. B.4,5cm. Sign.: Masatomo auf gebogter Reserve, lt. MCI wohl der Ôsaka-Künstler, jedoch eher frühes 19. Jh. Zustand A. NETSUKE: MONKEY ON CHESTNUT. Japan. Edo Period. 1st half of the 19th c. Ivory. The alert monkey is trying to climb on a large chestnut. In th course of this it is pulling of a part of the skin with his right. B.4,5cm.
