Ink and some red on paper. Cover with wadded silk. 30.5 x 17.5cm. The extremely fine drawings of the well-known paintress shows the ladies appreciating the pleasures of flowers (fragrance), reading, writing, drinking and painting. They are each sitting at a desk or on mats, and are dressed in long garments with elegantly draped shoulder shawls. Their beautifully coiffied hair is decorated with combs and hairpins. Each drawing is accompanied by a calligraphy from the artist. The album is further embellished with a foreword by Shen Cong Wen (1902- 1988) and a colophon by Wen Yi Duo (1899-1946). Condition B. He is fishing with cormorants and some of the birds are sitting on the boat, others swim in the water. Place: Xie yu hu shang. Sign.: Wu Niu shan Min Xi Ming. Seal: Lin and Wu Niu.
