Südostasien 2213 TORSO OF AN UMA. TORSO EINER UMA. Khmer. Baphuon style. Approx. 11th c. Sandstone with yellowish gray patina skin. Standing upright in samabhanga. The upper body in youthful proportions with the linea alba clearly visible. The densely pleated sampot rises higher at back, it is drawn down in front and knotted under the belly button. Frontal the garment ends in deep folds terminating in a decorative so-called fish tail. At the hips she wears a wide belt. Südostasien The torso is in good condition with usual traces of use according to its age. The head, arms and feet are missing. Height 51.5 cm. Mounted on a flat base. Condition A/B.
