The so-called mountain warrior (yamabushi) is squatting in the long, typical garment of a priest with silver cap on his head, in the large 2315 NETSUKE: SEIÔBO MIT PFIRSICH IM KORB. Japan. Edo-Zeit. Um 1800. Buchsbaum, fein geschnitzt, graviert und dunkel patiniert. Die Feen-Königin steht in reichem Gewand, geschmückt mit Wellen und Bordüren aus Chrysanthemenblüten und -blättern, und hält einen Bambuskorb mit dem Pfirsich der Unsterblichkeit in beiden Händen. The fairy queen is standing in rich garment, decorated with waves and borders made of chrysanthemum blossoms and leaves, and is holding a bamboo basket in both hands with the peach of immortality.
