Edo-Zeit. 2. H. 18. Jh. Flach ovaler Behälter aus Palmenholz mit flachem Steck-Deckel. Auf der Vorderseite in lebendigem Relief aus weißem Perlmutt mit feinen, vergoldeten Zweigen Efeu-Ranken, daneben in kräftigem Shibuichi-Relief eine Zikade, auf der Rückseite in Shibuichi und Kupfer große Schnecke mit goldenen Fühlern über einem Ebenholz-Paneel mit der vollen Signatur & Kakihan, daneben auf hellem, rot-braunem Holz weiteres Siegel, ähnlich dem abgebildet auf S. 516 im MCI, jedoch bewegter. H.7cm. Sign.: Minko Juntoku & Kakihan, 1735- 1810. Zustand A. Beilage: Ojime aus Hirschhorn und Brokat-Hülle. Provenienz: -Alte Sammlungs-Nr. 9262 (innen). TONKOTSU IN THE SHAPE OF AN INRÔ. Japan. Edo period. 2nd half of the 18th century. Flat oval container of palm wood with a flat lid. On front in a vivid relief of white mother-of-pearl, with delicate gilt vines of ivy, next to them in bold Shibuichi relief a cicada, on verso in Shibuichi and copper a large snail with golden antennae. Signed on a panel of ebony: Minko Juntoku, 1735-1810 & Kakihan, see for this one: MCI. p. 516. Next to it on light red-brown wood another seal similar to the one depicted but more dynamic. H.7cm.
