Die abwechslungsreiche Maserung und Tönung, bedacht ausgewählt für die Breitseiten, auf denen in feinem, flachem Relief diverse Geräte der Tee-Zeremonie dargestellt sind wie Sumitori mit schwarzen Kohlenstücken, einer Habôki aus fein graviertem und eingefärbtem Bein, dem Gotoku aus schwarzem Holz auf der einen Seite; die andere zeigt einen roten Raku-Chawan mit Chasen aus hellem Holz, Bambus suggerierend, dazu Natsume aus Ebenholz mit einem schlanken Cha-shaku aus Bein. Light Keyaki wood offering the base for the application of various utensils used for tea ceremony made of different materials such as: Sumitori with black pieces of coal, a Habôki of delicately engraved and dyed bone, the Gotoku of black wood on one side. The other side displays a red Raku-Chawan with Chasen of light wood, suggesting bamboo, with a Natsume of ebony and a slender Cha-shaku of bone. H.8.2cm. Auf der Vorderseite in halbrundem Relief aus Buchsbaum ein springender, umblickender Tiger mit hoch geschwungenem Schwanz, die Augen eingelegt aus grünlich schimmerndem Perlmutt mit schwarzen Pupillen, die Fellstreifen und Zehen auch schwarz akzentuiert, auf der Rückseite zusätzlich reliefierte Bambusstämme aus hellem Holz und Blätter aus schwarz patiniertem Holz. Oval bamboo cane, bottom and lid of different woods, such as Tagayasan. On the front in semicircular relief of boxwood a tiger leaping with its tail swung high and its head turned, its eyes inlaid greenish shimmering mother-ofpearl with black pupils, its striped fur and toes also black accentuated, on verso additional bamboo stalks of light wood and leaves of black patinated wood. Impressionistisch anmutendes Design, das nur an wenigen Stellen aus dem dunkel-braun-schwarzen, wolkigen Roiro-Fond in hellerem Grau und Gold, akzentuiert durch schwarze Umrisslinien den Kopf, die Flammen an den Gelenken und die Krallen aufscheinen lassen.
