Zwei kämpfende Männer, vermutlich die Soga-Brüder, der eine mit Bogen, der andere mit einem langen Stab in der Rechten. Die Figuren sind sehr fein aus Elfenbein geschnitzt und graviert. Mit teils dunkel eingefärbten Details, die Kleidung wohl aus Holz, ganz bedeckt mit sehr feinem Kinji und Grünlack mit feinem Blüten-Muster in Gold-Hiramakie. Ca. H.17,5cm, B.30cm. Zustand C. Beilage: Wurzel-Sockel, später hinzugefügt. Eine Hand restauriert und Gebrauchsschäden. OKIMONO: SOGA BROTHERS. Japan. Meiji period. Ivory. Two fighting men, presumably the Soga brothers, one with a bow, the other with a long stick in his right hand. The figures are very delicately carved from ivory and engraved. With partly darkly stained details, his robes presumably of wood, entirely covered in very fine Kinji and green lacquer with delicate flower pattern in gold Hiramakie. H. ca. 17.5cm, W.30cm.
