Das poröse Zentrum des Hirschhorns nutzend zur Darstellung eines rundgelegten Regendrachens umgeben von Wolkenwirbeln, Kopf mit schwarz eingelegten Augen sehr fein geschnitzt, graviert und dunkel akzentuiert. B.4cm. Sign.: Siegel: Ren (= Rensai) auf quadratischer Reserve unter Spitzdach. Zustand A. MANJÛ: RAIN DRAGON. Japan. Edo period. Ca. 1850-80. Stag antler. One-piece, carved vividly and open, skillfully tracing the material. Using the porous core of the stag antler to render a coiled rain dragon amid swirling clouds, its head delicately carved with eyes inlaid black engraved and darkly accentuated. W.4cm.
