In gelöster Haltung sitzend auf einem Tigerfell auf Lotossockel. Er ist mit einem dhotî um die Hüften bekleidet und trägt einen Brustschmuck aus Ketten. Seine Haare sind hoch aufgesteckt und mit Bändern gehalten. Höhe 17cm. Zustand A/B. MAHÂSIDDHA. Himalaya region. Ca. 16th/17th c. Old Pala style. Bronze with dark patina, residue of a black coating and red pigments. In relaxed position sitting on a tigerskin on a lotus throne. He is clad with a dhotî around the hips and wears jewels on his breast. His hair is done up high and held with ribbons. Height 17cm. Condition A/B. Schwere Kupferbronze mit partieller Feuervergoldung, Silbereinlagen und rötlich brauner Lackpatina. Bei dem Dargestellten handelt es sich wohl um den Lama, der auch Sanggye Pal genannt wurde und von 1339-1420 lebte. Er sitzt auf einem doppelten Lotos und hält die Hände in dharamachara mudrâ vor der Brust. Die gravierten Gewandborten werden jeweils von Perlbordüren begleitet. Auf dem Rücken eingelegte Wolkenmuster. Höhe 19,5cm. Bodenplatte verschlossen. Zustand A/B. LAMA BUDDHASHRI. Tibet. Heavy copper bronze with partial fire- gilding, silver inlays and a reddish brown lacquer patina. This might be the depiction of this high lama, who was also called Sanggye Pal living from 1339-1420. He sits on a double lotus with his hands in dharamachara mudrâ in front of his chest. The engraved garment trimmings are accompanied by silver pearl borders.
