Because of the provenance of an outstanding abstract painting by Rudolf Bauer, VAN HAM achieved the highest auction result at the time in 2011. The large-format work hung in the private bedroom of Solomon Guggenheim, a great admirer of Bauer's art. With a result of 610,000 euros, VAN HAM succeeded in taking the market for Rudolf Bauer to a completely new dimension within a year.
