Guide: How do I buy now via VAN HAM Art Store?

Step 1: Browse catalogues

You can browse the catalogues of the VAN HAM Art Store on our Homepage, via Art Store and via Online Catalogues.

Step 2: Register

If you already have a client account on My VAN HAM, you do not need to register again. Go to MY VAN HAM on the navigation bar and select Login (appears in a pop-up window) and enter your access data as usual.

Register using the gray REGISTER button to create your personal client account on My VAN HAM.

Enter your personal information in the registration form. We need a copy of your valid identity card (front and back) with your current physical address stated on it. If your billing address differs from your physical address or if you only have a valid passport without a valid address, we would also have to ask you to provide proof of your billing address (e.g. in the form of an electricity or telephone bill). If you wish to buy on behalf of a company, please also provide us with a current and valid proof of organisation (e.g. your extract from the commercial register). Read and confirm our GTC and privacy policy and submit the form using the button Register now.

After your registration you will receive a confirmation email. Follow the link provided in the email to activate your client account. Please also check your spam folder. If you have not received an email your client account cannot be activated neither. In this case please contact us via: online@van-ham.com

After you successfully activated the confirmation link you can log in to My VAN HAM with your access data.

First, log in to My VAN HAM with your access data. Go to the "Art Store" via the navigation bar on the website and select the online catalog from which you would like to purchase something. Select your desired item and order it by clicking the button "To order". A new window will open, listing the total cost and giving you the option to choose between self-pickup and shipping inclusive or exclusive shipping insurance. The buy-it-now price is the gross price excluding shipping and shipping insurance costs. If shipping is possible and selected by you, the total amount lists the buy-it-now price accordingly including shipping costs. The same applies to the additional shipping insurance to be selected.
If shipping is only possible by arrangement, these costs will not be included in the total cost breakdown. For this, please contact us at: online@van-ham.com
Then read and confirm our terms and conditions, privacy policy and cancellation policy. If everything should correspond to your desires, you buy the article obligatorily over the Button "order liable to pay".

Price proposoal
Selected items have the option of a price suggestion. Enter here the amount you are willing to pay for this item. Price suggestions of more than 15% below the offer price cannot be accepted. You submit the price proposal by clicking the "OK" button next to the input field. Before finalizing the price proposal, a window with the total cost breakdown will open. Choose between self-collection and shipping including or excluding shipping insurance and read and confirm our terms and conditions, privacy policy and cancellation policy. If everything corresponds to your wishes, submit your price proposal bindingly via the button "Price proposal". We will check your price proposal manually and contact you personally whether we can accept or have to reject your price proposal.

There is the possibility to pick up your purchased artwork personally in Cologne or to have it sent by us. Please consider our export conditions when shipping.

If you reserve a pick-up date, please take into account that the artworks from our VAN HAM Art Store are located in our external warehouse in Wesseling and the pick-up can take up to 3 days for logistical reasons.

According to Section 8 (2) of the Money Laundering Act, we are required to perform enhanced due diligence on all of our customers as of 01.01.2020.

Accordingly, we have to ask all our bidders to send us a copy of your valid identity card (front and back) with current registration address. If you wish to bid on behalf of a company, please also send us a current and valid proof of company (e.g. your excerpt from the commercial register).

If you wish to have a higher credit limit (bid/bid limit) than 50,000 Euro, we ask you to send us 2 - 3 references in the form of paid auction invoices or a credit report from your bank.

Please understand that we cannot activate you for the desired auction without the required documents. We apologize for the inconvenience.
