TAPISSERIE MIT SZENE AUS DER ALEXANDERLEGENDE.
Wohl Brüssel. 17. Jh.

Wolle und Seide in kontrastreicher Polychromie.. Detailreiche Waldlandschaft, im Hintergrund links oben Berge. Im Vordergrund Protagonisten
aus der Alexanderlegende. Alexander wohl mittig rechts mit aufwendigem Kopfputz mit
Straußenfedern, im Gespräch mit zwei Gefolgsleuten. Mittig Gruppe weiterer Gefolgsleute,
am linken Bildrand Dame im Gespräch mit zwei Gefolgsleuten Alexanders. Bildausschnitt
doppelt gerahmt. Weinlaub, Früchte und Blüten. Daran anschließend profilierte Zierleiste
mit regelmäßig umlaufendem Blätterdekor. 285 x 393 cm. Zustand C.
