BEDEUTENDES LUOHAN-BETT (LUOHANCHUANG) AUS ZITAN- UND HUANGHUALI-HOLZ.

Herkunft: China.
Dynastie: Qing-Zeit.
Datierung: 18./19.Jh.
Technik: Rahmen, Seitenteile und Sitzfläche aus Palisander (chin. huanghugali, Dalbergia spp. ), Zierblenden und Leisten aus rotem Sandelholz (chin. zitan, Pterocarpus santalinus).
Beschreibung: Diese schmale Form wurde meist mit Kissen und Polstern ausgestattet als Sofa, aber auch
als Bett und Tagesbett genutzt. Die in die Paneele geschnitzen Pfirsiche, Granatäpfel,
Päonien, Lotos und ruyi-Szepter sind Symbole für Wohlstand, Fruchtbarkeit und langes Leben.
Maße: Höhe 62cm, Breite 189,5cm, Tiefe 61cm.
Rahmen/Sockel: 18. Jahrhundert, 19. Jahrhundert.
