BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI. SCHIEFER.

Herkunft: Gandhâra.
Datierung: 2./3. Jh.
Technik: Grauer Schieferstein.
Beschreibung: Buddha sitzend in dhyanasana auf einem doppelten Lotosthron, bekleidet mit einem
uttarasanga, der beide Schultern bedeckt. Die Hände in dhyana mudra im Schoß. Seine Haare
sind in Wellen über den hohen ushnisha frisiert, hinter dem Kopf ein runder Nimbus.
Maße: Höhe 27cm.
Rahmen/Sockel: 2. Jh. 3. Jh..
Zustand B. Beilage: Auf Plexiglas-Sockel montiert.


Provenienz:
Adlige französische Privatsammlung, seit dem 19. Jh. zusammengetragen.
