GROßER MEDIZIN-BUDDHA IM TAI YAI-STIL. BRONZE.

Herkunft: Burma/Myanmar.
Dynastie: Ava Königreich (1364-1555).
Datierung: 16. Jh.
Technik: Bronze mit Lackvergoldung.
Beschreibung: Der Medizinbuddha im Tai Yai-Stil sitzend in padmasana auf einem hohen, doppelten
Lotosthron. In seiner Rechten hält er eine Myrobolan-Frucht, in der Linken die
Medizin-Büchse. Rechts und links am Sockel sind unten auf separat gefertigten,
langstieligen Lotosblüten kleine Adorantenfiguren eingesteckt.
Maße: Gewicht 13kg, Höhe 63,5cm, Breite (am Sockel) 31cm.
Rahmen/Sockel: 16. Jahrhundert.
Zustand A/B.
