Organic Matter: Ca. 812 seedpearls Ø ca. 3.2 - 4.2 mm, cream-coloured to yellowish.
Condition:
In good condition according to its age. Signs of wear in the form of minor to medium abrasions. The middle piece has isolated soldering points and has already been repaired. The clasp was added later; distinct adhesive residue is visible on the sleeves.

A "Collier de Chien" ("dog collar"), also known as a "choker", is a multi-row necklace made of pearls that fits close to the neck and is held in place by precious jewelry elements.
This choker necklace from around 1900 features a single, elaborately crafted bar made of gold and silver, richly set with diamonds. The bar features a filigree, floral motif that sparkles within a diamond-set frame and elegantly holds the six delicate rows of pearls together - an outstanding example of the masterful craftsmanship of the turn of the century.
