Kraaij schreibt "Conclusion: The painting with winterscene with a small castle at a river that is descripted above is thematically, and on stylistic features to be attributed to the painter of dutch landscapes Charles Leickert (1818-1907). On the basis of the findings stated above, the work is identified as a painting of his hand and is therefore judged as authentical."
