Fratin, Christophe. 1801 Metz - 1864 Le Raincy.

Datierung: Um 1850.
Technik: Bronze patiniert. Quarzsockel.
Maße: Höhe mit Sockel 46cm.
Marke: Am Rand bezeichnet FRATIN.
Zustand B.

Elinor Vicomtesse de Milhau, geb. Hölterhoff, durch Erbgang bis heute in einer Kölner Privatsammlung.
Erworben wurden die Stücke vor 1900 in Frankreich.

Christophe Fratin war berühmt für seine in Bronze gefertigten Tierdarstellungen. Großplastiken von Fratin standen u.a. im Central Park von New York, vor dem Berliner Stadtschloss und am Pariser Square de Montrouge.
