Deutschland. Datiert 1940. Karl Gries.

Wolle in dezent rötlicher Polychromie. Flüchtige Jagdszene an einem sonnigen Tag. Zwei Jäger, einer zu Pferde mit gespannter
Armbrust, ein Zweiter das Pferd am Zügel führend. Über diesem ein Falke. Im Vordergrund
weibliche Figur als Allegorie der Göttin Diana, der eine weiße Taube aus der rechten Hand
frisst. Der Mittelgrund durch zahlreiche Vögel bevölkert. 280 x 190 cm.
Bezeichnet "Gries 40". Zustand B/C. Mit Leinen hinterfüttert.
