Description:
Waldemar Otto’s early work from the 1960s is characterised by the theme of the human body. He produced mostly small-scale torsos that explore the theme of the battered body, conveying painful experiences and inner turmoil. During this period, the sculptor came to terms with his experiences of the war years.
