Hommage à Picasso is published jointly by Propyläen Verlag Berlin and Pantheon Press Roma. The set is issued in ninety copies numbered in Arabic numerals, numbers one to forty-five being destined for Propyläen Verlag and numbers forty-six to ninety for Pantheon Presse. Along with the prints signed by the artists, the numeration is certified by the two publishing houses.
Also issued is an edition of thirty copies numbered in roman numerals. Reserved exclusively for museums and galleries, these are not for sale. Preliminary and specimen prints of individual works, in varying number, are destined as author’s copies for the contributing artists.
The typographical make-up of the entire edition is by Wim Crouwel, Amsterdam, who also designed the individual folders and the box, which will be delivered with the final serial.
