The “Abstraction to Figuration” auction brings together 130 selected positions that explore the tension between abstraction and figuration. Between expressive gesture and clear form, between political statement and poetic figure, artists such as Daniel Richter, Olafur Eliasson, Michel Majerus, A.R. Penck, Hito Steyerl and Günther Uecker show the range of current visual languages. Abstraction meets figuration here - in works by Michael Triegel, Yongbo Zhao, Billy Childish or Camille Henrot as well as in the constructive compositions of Ulrich Erben or Norbert Thomas.
