Galerie Michael Schultz - Part III

Following the extremely successful auctions in spring, VAN HAM is offering the third part of the insolvency estate of the recently deceased Berlin gallery owner Michael Schultz in September. The auction includes approximately 150 additional objects, including works by SEO, Cornelia Schleime and A.R. Penck.
VAN HAM was commissioned by the insolvency administrator Dr. Björn Gehde of the law firm Hilgers & Partner to auction the artworks of the Michael Schultz Gallery. Until the closure of his two galleries in October 2019, Schultz's focus was on contemporary art from Europe, America and Asia. In numerous international exhibitions, the busy gallerist repeatedly demonstrated his keen sense for trends in the art market. His portfolio has included numerous renowned contemporary artists* since the 1990s. With a sales quota of 95%, approximately 280 works were already auctioned off in the spring at over 180% by value.
