The branch near Maastricht was the first of VAN HAM in 1997. It is located in the Dutch-Belgium borderland, each time eight kilometres away from Maastricht and the motorway Aachen towards Brussels. Our representative will gladly receive you for the assessment of your objects after making an appointment at your private address. You can submit your pieces of art for the upcoming auctions at any time. For this the branch is working closely with the Cologne main building and ensures its accustomed service. Of course there can always be appointments made directly on-site for more valuable objects and collections. Utilise the free of charge service and send a written request via email or mail with photos of the pieces in question to the branch.

The representative Dr. Petra Vertseegh-Kühner studied art story in Germany and did her doctorate on 19t century orientalism in Münster. She did research on the renowned Germany orientalist Gustav Bauernfeind. A main work of the artist (“In the Port of Jaffa“), which was believed lost and can today be found in the Dahesh Museum, NY, was sold by VAN HAM for approximately 1 million Euros.

Mrs. Versteegh-Kühner already gained work experience before and during her studies at the restoration workshop Kneep, at the art trade in Munich, at Sotheby's in Billingshurst and London and after that at the Ludwig Stiftung für Kunst und Internationale Verständigung in Aachen. For personal reasons she moved to Belgium in 1996, where she lives with her Dutch husband and their three children.
